This is a very smart skirt. On top of having all the classic details, it has a pair of front pockets that are classic jean size (and not the little joke pockets on skinny jeans) and the button-up front is incredibly practical: if you unbutton the bottom three buttons, you get a beautiful pinup silhouette but also room for your legs so you can walk without the skirt riding up.

The skirt is very well made. It seems sturdy and I expect it to last for years. The fabric has some give, enough that if you don't have the perfect pinup proportions, it will forgive you, but not so much that is loses its shape after you sit in it for an hour. This is not a true high waisted skirt, it is rather between high waist and normal waist, which is something I really appreciate as I find high waisted skirts make my butt and chest look like they are hanging.

I have a 28" waist and 36" hips. I cheated and got the XS instead of the S because when I get the correct size for my waist, the hips tend to not fill in properly. It fits like a glove. However, if your waist is even a tiny bit larger, get a size S. Basically, the fabric has just enough give that you can get away with sizing down to a waist size an inch smaller than yours, if you like to fill your skirt snugly. The skirt is comfortable to sit in.

This classic should be released every couple of years.
